Microsoft overtime

Here at Microsoft, we have a number of traditions. Certainly world domination and free Coke spring to mind. Then, there is our great approach to our competition.

One tradition that may not be very well known outside of Microsoft is the tradition of "Super Fun Happy Microsoft Overtime Family Time". This involves a Microsoft developer (usually male) needing to work over the weekend, so his (usually female) significant other hangs around the office, working on whatever they need to get done so they're not bored to the point of shooting themselves in the face.

Usually there's a guy a few doors down from who works on weekends and his wife (or whatever) is there, working on a second computer. Yesterday, Saturday, both Ankur and Artem had their girlfriends over, working on whatever it is that they do. Today, Sunday, Ankur is back and so is his SO. I think she's doing homework.

Not as great a tradition as the others, but it sure beats the hell out of sitting home alone. Or maybe they really like Microsoft and simply can't get enough.
